Absolutely! My garden has improved so much by having it right next to the house where I pass it all the time. SFG is supposed to save time in part by doing a little bit regularly. I used to forget it when I couldn't see it easily but now everything is taken care of in as needed.

Once again Patti you are on point. I always am inspired when I visit your page keep it up.
PLEASE!

I have heard Mel mention that putting a square foot garden on a table with some lamps or on a porch will work if you don't have the space in your yard.

Hey I'm in the same situation as you. I too badly want to grow some veggie goodness in my small space. I've tried growing a few by my window on shelves (Something like what Patti has). She has a video on growing indoors. But Patti uses it more for starting her veggies.

Patti, are there tips for people like nourights and myself?

ft2judy @ 6:23 pm

Great video Patti & Mel :-) Square foot gardening and raised bed gardening is definitely the way!

milt0nics @ 6:23 pm

Try herbs and lettuce in your windows. You can garden all year and build your skills.

Great to see two of my favorite sources of inspiration together! I am passing on your advice and success stories to as many as will listen!

Great teaser- look forward to future episodes. Mel's got a great system, although I disagree with his use of pete moss in his mix. For another easy to build & maintain garden, watch Dave Will discuss his barrel system:

Wonderful video, great encouragement and two fantastic people presenting it all! I'm guilty of purchasing three times the seed that I end up using. As soon as it's above freezing, I'm getting out there! I still have Kale in good shape… Don't forget to garden with your chickens ("> As always, thanks Patti and Mel… can't wait for next month's edition.
